Between Los Angeles and San Francisco Google has made some tests on models of the Toyota Prius, to check the operation of a device that would allow to drive the vehicle automatically. The cars are easily identified by the presence of a cylinder on the roof, very similar to the devices on the Street View car.
During the conference TED in Long Beach, California, Google has allowed journalists to attend the performance of their cars while they are guided by autopilot. The cars are even able to move on minicircuito specially made. The driving style is aggressive and the tires are not sure you save.
